Chad Morissette has been in the Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory/Corporate Development field since 2006. Most recently, the principal of Mor-Liquidity Mergers & Acquisitions, a boutique M&A firm focused on lower middle market companies with revenues between 2.5M to 50M. Chad has successfully consummated over 50 liquidity events on behalf of other business Owners over the last 9 years. Types of liquidity events include private equity recapitalization’s, capital pool companies on the TSX junior exchange, management buyouts, leveraged buyouts, strategic sales and third-party sales.
Prior to Mor-Liquidity, Chad owned and operated 3 VR Mergers & Acquisitions franchises in SW Florida where his practice reached the top 10 franchisee producers out of 110 US franchisees.
In addition to his M&A experience, Chad founded a human resource SaaS company in 1999 and sold the business in 2005. From 1990 to 1999 Chad held a variety of senior sales, channel development, and marketing positions at IBM, Lucent, Corel, and Ecruiter.com.
Chad has acquired his CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Advisor) and CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) designations. Chad sits on the Board of The Utility Company and is an advisory board member of Boomerang Kids Franchise Corporation. Chad is also an active angel investor in the business community.

Over Harvey’s 32 years as an entrepreneur he has been involved in a startup, a business merger as well as buying three businesses and selling four businesses. His areas of expertise include but not limited to finance, sales, marketing, strategic planning and team development. His businesses have been the recipient of many awards including winner of the London Chamber Business Achievement award along with 2 other runners-up Business Achievement awards. One of his businesses has been in the Top 100 Profit Magazine Fastest Growing Companies 3 years in a row, in the CDN Top 100 Canadian Vars for 12 consecutive years along with many vendor achievement awards.
Harvey’s background after completing a four-year Honours Business Degree majoring in Finance and Marketing took a management position with Bell Canada. He remained with Bell for 2 1/2 years moving to North Bay, Sudbury, Sault St Marie and finally Ottawa receiving 2 promotions during his tenure. He left Bell Canada to join Xerox Canada and remained with Xerox for 5 years in a number of sales positions winning President’s Sales Club awards during his tenure. In 1978 returned to Thunder Bay to become General Sales Manager for a local TV and Radio station for 2 years.
In 1980 moved to London Ontario to start Daytun Inc an office equipment business with a partner. They grew the business from $0 revenues to $7M and became the largest copier vendor in the market. In 1989 won the Outstanding Business Award from the London Chamber of Commerce. They also won several annual sales awards from Konica and Savin. In 1993 they sold the business to a supplier Savin Canada.
In 1995 he bought the local London branch of Konica Minolta and merged it with Protek Systems a local IT services company. He assumed the role of President & CEO and ran the business with 3 partners. Over the next 17 years built the business from less than $1M in sales to over $13M. Through that period Protek was in the TOP 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Canada three times, runner-up in Business of Year Award twice and numerous vendor awards. Protek has also been in the CDN Top 100 Vars in Canada for over 12 years. Bought out one partner in 2011 and in August of 2012 sold the business to TUC Managed Services from Ottawa and he remained through the transition until the end of 2012.
Since selling Protek he has helped business owners prepare and transition their businesses for sale and prepare the owners for their exit.

Steve joined Mor-Liquidity in the Fall of 2019. He brings a wealth of experience to his role as Senior Associate especially starting, growing and selling two of his own companies: Packaging Connections and Marketing Breakthroughs.
While CEO of Marketing Breakthroughs, he coached over 200 clients including some of Ottawa’s best known family-owned companies. He is well known for his highly creative, multi-channel radio, TV, digital and direct mail advertising campaigns on behalf of Holmes Heating (2004 – 2013), Greely Sand & Gravel (2011 – 2019) and Preston Hardware (2007 – 2019).
Between 1996 and 2006, he produced two nationally syndicated radio features (CareerWise, A Motivational Minute) and a best selling book, (JobWise).
During his executive career prior to 1990, Steve served as Chief Corporate Planning and Development Officer for Lawson & Jones, Lawson Mardon Group, Molson’s Ontario Breweries and Innopac. While at Lawson & Jones, he helped CEO Larry Tapp engineer the $559 million leveraged buyout of Lawson and its parent Mardon Packaging International. Within six months after the buyout, Steve sold 10 of Lawson’s non-core companies and divisions, including NER Data, Boyertown Packaging, Mardon Packaging US and Michigan Litho, for nearly $100 million.
Steve is also well-known in the Ottawa business community for his volunteer work as Executive Producer of the Gold Plate Dinner, one of the city’s most successful fundraising galas, produced for the Hellenic Community of Ottawa and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
He is a two time graduate of the Queen’s University School of Business.
